Permutation Three: The Sigils

What if there could be an ongoing visual representation of your on-chain activity? What could that look like?

Sigils, a new project from Hashes DAO, are exactly that. Sigils allow for the creation of NFTs derived from a collectors wallet data (ex: ETH balance, first transaction, etc), Hashes NFT token metadata, and Hashes DAO activity (ex: voting and proposals).

Sigils created from DAO Hash NFTs (token IDs 0-999) are dynamic, their appearance changing according to changes in inputs, while Sigils generated from Non-DAO Hashes NFTs (token IDs 1000 and up) can only draw from static data and have no dynamic capability, existing as a permanent snapshot of the wallet's on-chain holdings/activity.

To be an ongoing project (and platform), DAO Hash NFT holders can mint one Sigil from each collection, while Non-DAO NFT holders can only mint one per HASH. Future collections minted on the to-be Sigil platform will allow any artist to create generative art that represents the owner and evolves with them.

The first collection, Sigil Genesis, is now live as a free and open mint: https://www.thesigil.xyz/

P.S. A huge shoutout to DavidB for spearheading the entire project and looping me in for building the low-level APIs early on, and of course, CookedCookie for the bulk of the work done here on the Solidity side. 🙌
